Mumbai: The City Crime Branch has arrested a former business development officer of Lodha Developers who, along

with previously arrested director Rajendra Lodha and other absconding suspects, is accused of conspiring in a land fraud in Bhiwandi, causing a loss of around ₹15.74 crore to the company.

The accused, Shivaji Govindrao Jadhav (55) — who had been on the run since October — is alleged to have worked with co-accused to illegally cancel a land share agreement and transfer company-linked land for personal gains.

The fraud relates to land in Mouje Sarang village measuring about 7,870 sq m that Lodha Developers had acquired in 2007–08. Police allege that Jadhav and others facilitated cancellation of a valid share agreement and transferred the land to acquaintances and relatives.

It’s claimed that part of the land was later transferred to Jadhav’s son and an associate, and then sold in 2025 — allegedly to cover up the fraudulent transaction after an internal company probe began.

The total estimated loss to Lodha Developers is around ₹15.74 crore. A chargesheet naming Rajendra Lodha and nine other accused was filed in December 2025, with Jadhav declared a wanted suspect until his recent arrest.

Police have seized several electronic devices — including mobile phones, hard disks, DVRs, and voice recordings — as part of the ongoing investigation.
